Fair Housing 

Fair housing laws are legal framework established to prohibit discrimination in housing and ensure equal access to housing opportunities for all individuals These laws are designed to promote fairness, prevent discriminatory practices, and eliminate barriers to housing for members of protected classes. When these laws are violated by landlords, a complaint can be filed with the appropriate government agency, or a lawsuit can be filed.
