Marisa graduated from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law and passed the Colorado Bar in 2022. Marisa was born and raised in Arizona and completed her undergraduate degree in Biochemistry at Simpson College in Indianola, Iowa. After developing an interest in Intellectual Property, she decided to attend law school at the University of Denver where she served as a student attorney during the final semester of the Veterans Advocacy Project, then assisted with the transition to the Rocky Mountain Veterans Advocacy Project and continued to serve as an advanced student attorney during her final three semesters of law school.
Marisa is currently an associate attorney at Lewis Roca, a regional firm focusing on complex corporate litigation. Marisa's practice centers around corporate & intellectual property litigation as well as patent prosecution. To stay connected to the veteran community, Marisa has recently started doing pro bono work with RMVAP, assisting with both discharge upgrades and VA Benefits appeals. In her free time, Marisa enjoys reading and spending time with her three-legged rescue dog, Dozer, and her four miniature dachshunds: Chole, Lucky, Stevie Ray, and Raggs.
