Psychiatric Disability
Will the VA compensate me for other mental health issues?
Receiving treatment for mental health disorders is not unusual. While there are a range of disorders veterans may struggle with, some of the most common include schizophrenia, anxiety, bipolar disorder, panic disorder, trauma and stress-related disorders, and adjustment disorder and mood disorders (e.g. major depressive disorder).
The VA recognizes that mental health conditions are disabling, and therefore eligible for service-connection.
